Hi, Everybody! Hannah and Ray here. We are crazy/mad/hecka excited for our third episode of Roadtrip Nation Live! The cool thing about this day in age is that technological mediums such as YouTube, Vimeo and other social media outlets allow us the ability to connect and learn about fields we may otherwise never have known about. In addition, we have opportunities to mash-up and combine our passions to create new and exciting fields that are tailored specifically to our personal interests. It’s a personalized menu of what we can do with our futures; the fact that we have the ability to create, which in itself is an amazing privilege of our generation! For this next episode, we’ll be talking with two talented gentlemen who have channeled their respective talents and have established themselves through performance and social media! It’s our pleasure to introduce you to our next guests: Paul Dateh and Mike Song!Paul is a seasoned violinist who has found ways to combine his musical talents with composition, storytelling, acting, and technology. You can watch Paul in action here: http://youtu.be/VhwEvVqHJK0. Our personal interest in Paul comes from the fact that he’s taken a traditionally “classical” instrument and made it his own. Not only has he owned it, but he’s found a successful way to share his talents on the Internet, which for the most part, has garnered a very warm community. At one point, Paul had the number one video on YouTube and has an average of 13+ million upload views. As we mentioned, he’s blended technology and music, but he also makes cool sketches fusing comical story lines and music.   Mike is a renowned hip-hop dancer and choreographer. He’s a breakthrough for dancers everywhere, using technology and media to share his craft and his art. Currently, he’s got a following of 70,000 subscribers on YouTube and almost 17,000 on Twitter. Also, what’s interesting about Mike is his take on dancing. As a popper (think human wave or robot) he applies his curiosity of mechanics to his choreographing or freestyling. It’s interesting to see that he’s able to take his curiosity and transfer it into the human instrument of his body. Some of his credits include: Assistant choreographer for the upcoming movie Step Up 4;  member of Kaba Modern; contestant on America’s Best Dance Crew; member of LXD (Legion of Extraordinary Dancers); and performer in the Jabawockeez feature show in Las Vegas. Check out a video of Mike here: http://youtu.be/HkzijBH0ee8 These two guys are a testament to the potential that now exists for us to combine our versatile interests and find creative ways to make a living. We’re so excited to hear their stories, and we hope you are too!Interested in participating? For this next episode, we’ll be talking with two talented gentlemen who have channeled their respective talents and have established themselves through performance and social media! It’s our pleasure to introduce you to our next guests: Paul Dateh and Mike Song!

Paul is a seasoned violinist who has found ways to combine his musical talents with composition, storytelling, acting, and technology.
